Jonathan and Amy joined the TMS Global team to serve a career term in Paraguay. Jonathan recently worked in software development and enjoys helping others with computers. Amy recently worked as a preschool teacher and in church children’s ministry.
They serve at a local church and daycare in the impoverished area of Santa Rosa in Asuncion, Paraguay. They are also assisting the church leadership to expand to offer new ministries where needs are going unmet. The Daycare is for ages 2 to 5 and is a unique way to introduce young families to the church. Recently, they have expanded the Daycare to have an After-School program for ages 5 to 7 to help with homework and provide extra learning with classes such as English and Technology. They also now have a church youth outreach program called “JUAD” designed to reach kids ages 7 to 17 to help break the cycles of teenage pregnancy, drug use, and violence using a Bible-based program similar to Boy Scouts. They continue to look for ways to improve the local church discipleship and outreach. And, they are involved with mission teams who come from the States. Additionally, they have “adopted” two Paraguayan youth into their family and minister to them through their daily lives.
Together with their two boys, their family desires to spread the love of Christ to the people of Paraguay.
