Jonathan's dad (Danny Killen) is with the Lord now
Dad is with the Lord now. He passed so gently. We cried, we sang
praise songs, we laughed, we were surrounded with family and friends.
It happened about 6:08 PM. Thanks to all those who have been praying for him. We are overwhelmed with the love that you have shown us.

My tears, love and yes, laughter join yours. Danny was a life-long friend of our family. He and my brother, who died 6 years ago, were the same age and classmates as well. We grew up in North Florence near Danny's family then moved on to Coffee High School and Florence State, making more memories to add to those from our childhood. Danny drove to Gainesville, Florida several times to reminisce with my brother during the last few months of his life, visits which greatly enriched the long days and weeks of stage four cancer. I grieve with many today over the loss of this man who made the world a better place for so many people in so many different ways. Perhaps the best tribute to Danny would be to emulate his goodness, charity and love of the Lord by taking those good things and ensuring our lives are lived as well as his simply by giving of ourselves, our time, love and sharing the Lord with others. My heart grieves over his loss yet sings praise to God that he was our friend.
